About me
Hi, I'm Vegard—an industrial design student in my final year at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design.
Before design school I qualified as a media graphic designer through an apprenticeship in graphic design and print production. That grounding still shapes my work, especially around typography, layout, and bringing the practical realities of production into a project early.
I'm drawn to the ordinary objects we live closest to, to the relationships and values they carry, and to a view of design as a craft, where making and hands-on work are themselves ways of thinking. I like working within real material, technical, and contextual constraints, and I'm often the person others come to for technical help in collaborative settings.
My work is mostly furniture and products. My interest in everyday objects and spaces started with a full apartment renovation I took on before design school, where I designed and worked hands-on through every step, from floor plan to finish.
