We were tasked with designing an immersion blender aligned with Wilfa’s brand and product portfolio. The project prioritized injection molding optimization, sustainability through recyclability and repairability, and a focus on ergonomics and inclusive design.

Fløyel is designed with both style and practicality in mind. Its ergonomic, cylindrical shape ensures a comfortable grip, no matter how you choose to hold it.

With a large, easy-to-reach power button and an intuitive adjustment dial, the blender is simple to operate with one hand. The matte black finish and polished stainless steel accents and blending arm gives it a clean, contemporary look that complements any kitchen.



The image series above shows off the final physical model we built, and was taken to demonstrate how Fløyel can be held and operated comfortably in many various ways.

Before starting on the final iteration of the design, we made the collage, featuring the best and most important functional and aesthetic aspects from the previous explorations and iterations. This then served as a starting point and discussion tool for the final drawings.
